Welcome to Birralee!

Birralee International School Trondheim provides an English-speaking education for children aged 3-16 living in Trondheim, central Norway.

The Australian founder gave the school the name ‘Birralee’ meaning a ‘safe place for children’ – we provide a stimulating and secure learning environment in which we value each child as an individual.

Beyond the academic challenge, students who join the school will find a friendly and welcoming school environment, allowing them to thrive and succeed.

Cambridge International School

We offer an English medium curriculum which is motivating and challenging. Being approved by the Education Directorate in Norway, as well as having international recognition, our curriculum offers students the opportunity to experience an international education in a local context.

Join our international school community

We are delighted that you are considering Birralee International school Trondheim for your child's education. Our admission team will be happy to meet with you and guide you through our application process.

We admit children from both Norway and abroad. The school is open to all children who fulfil the criteria to be enrolled in Norwegian Public schools.

Thanks to state support, we are able to offer reduced school fees to our parents. The monthly fees 2024-2025 are set to 3.307 - 3.388 NOK. Approximately, 3.000 EURO per year.

We encourage parents to get in touch with us as soon as you know that you might be moving to Trondheim.

We are happy to organise a tour for you and your child of the school. For families who are still abroad, we can organise a digital meeting to answer any questions you may have.
